King Vaedin of the Underworld

Description

This is Vaedin. He's the King of Hell. That basically means that he is the overarching ruler of everything within the Realms of Hell. Some of these realms include Tartarus (a prison for god-level and above entities); Purgatory (a nursery of sorts for demons); the Dark Garden (originally only supposed to house the hospital, but has become a location for wayward spirits that Yajova won't let into Heaven); and the Pit (the realm which houses the most unrepentant of sinners, as well as the Shadowlings that feed upon them).

Vaedin is an excellent king. All of Hell runs smoothly, without any bumps in the road. His defining feature (which is also his fatal flaw) is that he has trust issues. He refuses to dole out his responsibilities to the Lords he selected to rule Hell alongside him. Everything that happens in Hell has to have his signature on it, and so Vaedin signs more paperwork in a few minutes than half of all the humans on earth do in a year.

Vaedin has one (1) illegitimate child, conceived with an incredibly powerful Grim Demon (the strongest kind of demon). She was exceptional with possessive magic. So exceptional, in fact, that she was able to take control of the King of Hell and force him to fornicate with her. After she had finished with him, she tore out his right eye and ate it, leaving behind a spell that would prevent the damage from being reversed magically - the same kind of magic that had been used to prevent the scar on Tulvir's face from ever disappearing.

There are very few who know of that incident with the Grim Demoness, Zedalia. Tsukaea, Tacitus, and Yajova are the only beings in the entire Reality that know what happened when he disappeared for those two weeks. Telling Yajova had been Vaedin' biggest mistake; he and his brother already had a feud between them, and upon hearing what horrible thing had happened to Vaedin, Yajova only scorned and mocked him. Because of this, Vaedin refused to speak to Yajova for nearly thirty million years.

If Yajova hadn't been kidnapped and locked up by his own co-ruling Lords of Heaven, Vaedin would still be refusing to speak to him hundreds of billions of years later. That incident mended their relationship as much as it could be mended. It also matured Yajova a bit, which was nice for everyone because the King of Heaven had been an ego-maniacal prick for as long as anyone had known him.
